May 1st

This is supposed to be fun but this week has seemed like work. I may have too many plants but hopefully now that the hoophouses are up things will calm down a bit. Planted the 898, 1048, 961 and the 846. still waiting on the other four. The 604 is showing some promise the other three I had duplicate seeds available so I soaked them Friday night just in case. I also confiscated my son's 823 Gadberry as his 895 Hester was up and looking good.      Still trying to find the cable that connects the weather station to the computer I may have thrown it away in the move. I will try to order a new one tomorrow.

May 7th

I finally got the tempurature system up and running so I can check the temps while away. Most of the plants are out at this point. I had to restart the 940, 670 and 760. The 760 Patrick never did germinate. the 940 does look a little wierd. the 670 should go out today. Still need to find my charger for the camera battery so that I can get some pictures.

May 10th

7 days of rain!. Makes it tought to get the patch work done. Still need to finish the sprinklers and get the rest of the garden going. Plants aren't doing too much. Its always slow this time of year.

May 31st

Still have not found my camera battery charger for the digital camera. Things have started to speed up a little bit, with the sunny weather for the last week or so. Did not  take exact measurments last night but these are approximate vine lenghts. 2-2 1/2' vine- 898 Knauss, 961 Daletas, 846 Jutras, 1048 Companion, and 823 Gadberry 1' vine lenght- 482 Christensen x 2 (Interestingly this was a slow plant last year as well, 940 Mombert (2000) this one looks to be a flat vine and is double planted with the 482 so it will probably be culled, 604 Jutras and 670 Daigle (both failed to germinated on the first attempt so are a week behind the other plants.      The sprinkler system is in and operational. Just have to finish tilling the patch but this is hard to do until I get the hoophouses down.
