	The hiking trips have been fewer this year. Part of the reason is that Blake has now earned his hiking merit badge and no longer has to have the longer hikes. Part of the reason is we simply did not set a goal and make the time, and life is busy and unless you really want to do it it will get pushed out by other things.    I must be more regular at this point. Two months from now I will be back in British Columbia chasing goats. I need to get into shape and do at least two hikes a week.      This hike was nice as we got on the trail fairly early and we were back to the truck by noon before it got real hot. We were supposed to go on a backpack camp trip but my son has lost a little interest and neither of us were in the shape we should be.
