| Where: Table Mountain, Wyoming When: July 19th, 2006 Who: Blake and Brian How Far: 14 miles according the GPS, 11.5 miles by the map. Not sure which is correct. Vertical Distance: 1400' This is the fourth ten miler in our series of hikes for my hiking merit badge. We have one ten and one twenty miler left. Table mountain was a really fun, really tireing hike. It is a trail that is traveled alot by scouts, and other poeple. There were four creek crossings that all had makeshift bridges. We saw a moose, and a moma and baby rock chuck as far as wild life goes. There are two different trails that lead to table mountain, the face and huckleberry we took huckleberry there is alot of wate,r in fact there are several different springs that bubble up right by the trail. We could tell that we were out of shape because there were older and younger guys that were jogging up and down the trail. I'm really glad i didn't give up like on Mt. Baird because when you got to the top it was really worth the view. Just look at the pictures to the side. It was a really fun hike. It was the first time me or dad had ever been there. |
