British Columbia September 12th-19th, 2007
I've been planning and preparing for this hunt for several years. I hope to get to write a more complete story in the near future but the pictures will have to tell the story for now.
The view from the camp is incredible. This is the second nights camp. Six Stone's sheep are in the valley in front of us. A big caribou bull (the one I eventually shot) is in the valley behind. The sunset isn't bad either
Am I there yet!. On the way up to the third nights camp.
This is a mountain goat. Now that I'm home its amazing how many people have no idea what a mountain goat is. Not the biggest set of horns in the world but any goat is truly a trohpy.. I've dreamed of this one for quite a while.
The goat is in the bag and time to sip on some cocoa as the weather is about the turn nasty.
This is a mountain caribou. I watched this one for most of the trip but he had to wait until I had my goat. This one rough scores at 363. Minimum score for Boone and Crockett is 360. By the time it dries for the required 60 days it will probably not meet the minimum. My idea of a trophy is not the score but the memory that will last forever..
A great hunt that went about as well as any I have been on.
